Driver
The Driver position will report directly to the Yard Foreman or Assistant Yard Foreman. Alexander Lumber Drivers will maintain a valid driver’s license. If the driver does not have a valid driver’s license, or if their driving record deems the employee uninsurable by Alexander Lumber’s insurance company, the driver will be terminated. Drivers can drive all vehicles off the premises, including forklifts, unless a particular vehicle requires a license they do not have. The Driver’s duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Helping retail and contractor customers in yard area
2. Delivering material to jobsites and putting material where the customer wants it
3. Receiving, loading and unloading trucks
4. Pull loads for drivers and put away returns
5. Help keep yard organized and clean
6. Must be able-bodied to carry sheetrock and other heavy building materials
7. Keep trucks clean and report maintenance issues to Yard Foreman
Starting Pay: $18/hour
