When the State’s licensing system rolled out with major problems, people were not happy. Caught in the middle? The locally owned license bureaus.
“The problems with MNLARs created a lot of frustration for our customers,” said Josh Randall, Owner of Randall’s License Bureau. “We worked hard to help them through it and now the new system is starting to make the process easier for everyone.”
Josh Randall does the work. Growing up working for his dad at Randall Electric, and then for his grandmother at the License Plate Bureau, Josh learned how business gets done. Typically that means consistent, hard work.
“Since taking over the business in January of this year, we’ve worked hard to create a positive customer experience, even during Covid,” says Randall. “We have a great team here and they’ve worked through many challenges.”
Josh’s family took over the license bureau in 1967. His grandfather Harley and grandmother Marcella ran the business for 52 years until Josh took over in 2020. Randall says he’s seen a lot of changes in the few years he’s worked at the bureau including 3 new systems and how Covid has made things busier. Closures at public license facilities in the area have brought people from across southern Minnesota to Randall’s License Bureau which is privately owned.
“We are open for business and serving people from all over the region right now,” said Randall. “It’s good to be busy serving people and taking care of the renewals, license and title’s needed.”
Randall’s License Plate Bureau is open Monday-Friday 9a-5p.
