Last Chance for Grants-Your Business May Now Be Eligible

Small businesses and non-profits in Steele County get one last chance to apply for the $10,000 grants.  Did you miss round 1 and 2 of the city and county small business grants?  Your business didn't qualify?  It's worth one more look.  

The County grant program still has money available, money that will go back to the state of Minnesota if not used by eligible organizations locally.  The new round of grants includes: 

  • Grant application deadline extended through October 30th
  • Business support program will accept applications from all businesses in the County (unincorporated and incorporated areas)
  • Business grants program Full Time Equivalent limit has been raised from 50 to 100 FTE’s (1-100 employees)
  • All nonprofits are eligible to apply (was previously just 501 (c) 3 or 9’s)
  • Grant maximum is still $10,000
