In Southeast Minnesota, Mayo Clinic Health System is partnering closely with local public health departments, other health systems, and the Southeast Minnesota Disaster Coalition on planning for distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine in accordance with state guidelines. The coalition is leading the coordination across the region. Vaccine supplies are limited. Our team continues to plan to ensure we can efficiently vaccinate patients in accordance with state guidelines as more vaccine supply becomes available.
The state of Minnesota has launched a pilot program for vaccinating patients age 65 and older, K-12 educators, and childcare providers. This pilot has limited vaccine supply available and is being staffed and managed by the state. It is not connected with Mayo Clinic. For more information on this pilot program visit the Minnesota Department of Health website
Mayo Clinic will share information on its website and via Patient Online Services when we receive direction from the Minnesota Department of Health on vaccinating patients who are eligible to receive the vaccine.
